Sulia Rose Altenberg is an actor, singer and writer who has worked on stage in the Twin Cities for the past 10 years. As a young person herself, she advocates for theater for young people throughout the state. Performing in The Diary of Anne Frank at Park Square Theater, she connects with young people every spring with student matinees. Sulia has appeared with other companies such as Walking Shadow Theatre Company, Loudmouth Collective, Daleko Arts, The Guthrie, Illusion Theater, Frank Theater, Theatre Unbound, Workhouse Theater, Raw Sugar Productions, and MN Fringe favorites; Comedy Suitcase and Mainly Me Productions. As a company member with GTC Dramatic Dialogues she helps facilitate conversations on race, rape culture, sexual communication and drug and alcohol control. MN Fringe Festival for 10 years in audience loved shows such as The Wright Stuff, Couple Fight II, Backlash, One Hit Thunder, Class of 98', Hour Town and The Harty Boys and the Case of the Limping Platypus. Sulia also helps build empathy by role playing for professionals who work in crisis situations with MN Crisis Intervention Training. Sulia graduated from the University of Minnesota with a Bachelor of Arts in Cultural Studies and Comparative Literature in December 2015 after spending her final semester in Amsterdam, NL.
